Ampere

Ampere are a four-piece screamo/hardcore punk band from Amherst, Massachusetts that began in 2002 and continue to play today. Many of the members played in other notable bands, the biggest of these being the legendary Orchid, which featured guitarist Will Killingsworth (who's a prominent figure in the screamo scene for running Dead Air studios as well). Other bands members were in include Bucket Full Of Teeth, Montcalm, Wolves, and The Last 40 Seconds, among others. Ampere themselves are quite the noteworthy band in terms of influence and importance within the genre . They play a style similar to that of Orchid in that the music is chaotic and features lyrics and ideologies that can be considered "intellectual". They also like to keep things short, especially Ampere. Most of their songs don't even clock in at a full minute, and their longest songs don't even hit two and a half minutes in length. Their live sets are also short, but blisteringly intense, as is their material on record. They've managed to keep fairly busy in their decade of existence, especially considered the fact that operate under rigid DIY ethos, and they don't have a revolving door of line-up changes (it's been the same four people for their entire tenure). So, yeah, enjoy, as I'm sure you will.

Leper

Leper are a punk band from Canada that combine ska, black metal, crust punk, and grindcore to produce an interesting and unique sound that I personally love. They have very typical anarcho punk lyrics.

June paik

June Paik

June Paik are a German progressive screamo/emo/powerviolence band. I sense a little bit of black metal influence in their music but that could just be me.

Cloacal kiss

Cloacal Kiss

Cloacal Kiss is a Grindcore band that only released one album. Their vocalists uses these weird high earsplitting shrieks. They use a drum machine so if you're not a fan of those steer clear from this release.

Circle takes the square

Circle Takes The Square

Circle Takes the Square is an American screamo band from Savannah, Georgia. Their debut release was a 6-track self-titled EP in 2001, followed by a 7" split with Pg. 99 in 2002. In 2004 the band released As The Roots Undo on Robotic Empire Records, which released the CD, and HyperRealist Records, which released the gatefold LP. The band released their second full-length album, entitled "Decompositions" on 21st December 2012 as a digital download. Physical editions of the album were released in April 2013. The first volume was released as a limited edition of 350 CDs, entitled "Decompositions Vol. 1, Rites Of Initiation" and was put out on their own label, Gatepost Recordings in the Autumn of 2011.

Circle Takes the Square has been described as being a "blend of progressive experimentation and DIY hardcore, metal, and noise...characterized by a natural fusion of grindcore and the sweeping guitar dynamics of post-punk and emo." They describe themselves as "...a punk rock band with reverence for the Mystery." Lars Gotrich, when writing for NPR music credited Circle Takes the Square alongside bands Orchid and Pg. 99 as being prominent influences on emotional post-hardcore.

Jeromes dream

Jeromes Dream were an influental Connecticut-based screamo/emo violence band that was active between 1997 and 2001. The band had a unique vocal style - singer Jeff Smith opted not to use a microphone while performing live, instead screaming unamplified at the top of his lungs. The band was known for playing very short sets, usually no longer than 10 minutes. According to Smith, they thought 10 minutes was all they needed to get their point across.
The band's second full length album, Presents, featured a drastic change in vocal style, abandoning the raw screams of their earlier work in favor of a talk-singing style filtered through an effects processor, that I like to call "err-wah err-wah err-wah" vocals 'cause that's all you can make out. This stylistic shift was rumored to a product of vocal cord damage sustained by their singer from the repeated strain of performing. However, Smith cites an anecdote in which while recording with Orchid his voice cut off and he passed out in the recording booth. Afterward, they changed their style overall.
